The SCHOOL for WIVES

(L'école des femmes)

The naive and beautiful Agnes becomes the object of her pedantic, woman fearing guardian, Arnolphe. Hilarity ensues when unbeknownst to the old fool Agnes has fallen in love with his friend's son, Horace. Unbeknownst to the young fool, Arnolphe has disguised himself as an older confidante Monsieur de la Souche, and so the games begin for which man will hold Agnes' heart dearly!

William Shakespeare's

The TAMING of the SHREW

Bianca is considered the loveliest and most docile maid in all of Padua. However, her father, Baptista Minola, has forbidden all men from marrying her until his eldest daughter, Katherine, is wed. What ensues is a tragic comedy as Katherine's only suitor, Petruchio, tries to tame, with psychological torture, the free-spirited shrew.
